The ARC Hosts Youth Minister, Syrian Counterpart to Highlight eSports Development

Amman, Jan. 20 (Petra) - The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship hosted Minister of Youth Raed Adwan and Syrian Minister of Sports and Youth Mohammad Hamedh on Tuesday at the sports and electronic games dome "The ARC".
According to a statement from the ministry, Secretary-General Samira Al-Zoubi emphasized the deep ties between Jordan and Syria, particularly in technological fields.
The visit included a presentation of Jordan’s national strategy for eSports, showcasing efforts to position the country as a regional hub and destination for digital sports and gaming.
Director of Investment and Entrepreneurship Sarah Fanous outlined key achievements of the eSports strategy and targets designed to create opportunities supporting the sector.
Marwan Abu Ghosh, Director of Operations at the Jordan eSports Federation, highlighted the federation’s role in promoting eSports culture in Jordan, noting that the training center has hosted multiple local and regional tournaments to support players’ participation.
During the visit, the ministers toured the center’s facilities and the ministry’s training academy. The Syrian Minister praised Jordan’s leadership in developing the eSports industry and underscored the importance of knowledge exchange and partnership between the two countries.
